Gainsborough Old Hall

Gainsborough is a town in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, on the River Trent. It was one of the capital cities of Mercia during the Anglo-Saxon period.

LGBT history

The gay footballer Liam Davis has said he was abused plenty of times while playing for Gainsborough Trinity.[1]

The Lincolnshire Parents of LGBT children support group held its first gathering at a farm in Gainsborough in December 2015.[2]
