Chatham is one of the Medway Towns, now part of the Medway unitary authority. It is noted for the naval dockyard, which closed in 1984 and is now a tourist attraction.
LGBT history
The Medway CHE Group held a number of discos at Chatham Town Hall.
Coyotes is a gay bar and club.[1]
The Metro Centre have an office in Chatham.
