Castle Point is a local government district in Essex. It contains Canvey Island, Hadleigh, Benfleet and Thundersley.
LGBT history
According to the 2001 census, Castle Point had the lowest proportion of cohabiting same-sex couples of any district in England and Wales, with 0.04 per cent (the highest being Brighton with 1.29 per cent.[1]
