The Order of Chaeronea, also referred to as the Order of the Chaerona, was a secret society for the cultivation of a homosexual moral, ethical, cultural and spiritual ethos. It was founded in 1897 by George Ives.
The Order took its name from the Battle of Chaeronea (Ancient Greek Χαιρώνεια, Khairōneia) at which the Sacred Band of Thebes, composed of pairs of gay male lovers, was wiped out by the Macedonian army under Alexander the Great.
