I just joined the project from being a Wikipedia editor for some time. Ed: we developed the policy to put external websites in full, so they don’t disappear – this is for two reasons | |||
1) when the page is printed out, you can see the URL | |||
2) the URLs have to be real – i.e. it avoids the risk of people clicking on URLs that take them to dangerous sites that can infect their computer | |||

Ed: we developed the policy to put external websites in full, so they don’t disappear – this is for two reasons 1) when the page is printed out, you can see the URL 2) the URLs have to be real – i.e. it avoids the risk of people clicking on URLs that take them to dangerous sites that can infect their computer
