==History==

The [[Raymond Revuebar]], which had operated as a strip club and burlesque venue since 1958, closed in June 2004 when its parent company went into administration. It was immediately acquired and transformed into a gay nightclub by entrepreneurs Paul Richardson and Mark Pearce, who reopened it on 10 September 2004 under the name Too 2 Much.

The venue was substantial – at 6,000 square feet one of the larger gay clubs in Soho – and was deliberately positioned at the luxury end of the market. An art deco interior was designed by architect Steve Jensen, and the cocktail menu was created by mixologist Nick Drewery of Milk & Honey. The programming combined a daily schedule of contemporary theatre, comedy and live music until 10pm, after which the space transformed into a nightclub with DJ sets and live musicians. The venue featured two bars and an auditorium.

The comedian and television presenter Graham Norton contributed a set of humorous house policies for the club, with the mock-serious instruction that "best behaviour will not be tolerated."

In November 2006 the venue was renamed the '''Soho Revue Bar''' and continued to host LGBT+ events including Trannyshack club nights. It closed on 29 January 2009.

==Significance==

Too 2 Much represented an attempt to bring a theatrical, luxurious sensibility to Soho's LGBT+ nightlife at a moment when the scene was diversifying away from the circuit-bar model of the 1990s. The choice of the Raymond Revuebar as its home – a building with deep roots in Soho's entertainment history – was deliberate, and the conversion was widely noted as a striking reuse of one of London's most famous adult entertainment venues.
