She was born in Lagos, Nigeria, studied law at Obafemi Awolowo University, and qualified as a Nigerian barrister. By her late 20s she had come to the realization that she was bisexual. She studied at Keele University, and now resides in the UK. She coordinates the group "Nigerian LGBTIs in Diaspora Against Anti Same-Sex Laws". She is the author of Freedom to love all: Homosexuality is not Un-African.
